Piusi's dedicated AdBlue pump range is purpose-built for the safe, contamination-free transfer of diesel exhaust fluid (DEF), AdBlue and AUS32 urea solutions. Every pump in this collection uses chemical-resistant materials, including polypropylene, EPDM seals and stainless steel components, specifically engineered for contact with urea-based fluids. Standard diesel or oil pumps will corrode and fail when exposed to AdBlue, so a purpose-built pump is not optional.

Why You Need a Dedicated AdBlue Pump

AdBlue is highly corrosive to standard pump materials, including brass, copper, aluminium and mild steel. Running AdBlue through a diesel vane pump or oil gear pump will destroy the pump internals and contaminate the fluid. Piusi's Suzzara Blue series uses a membrane (diaphragm) pump design with wetted parts made exclusively from AdBlue-compatible materials. This keeps the fluid clean and the pump running long-term.

The Piusi AdBlue Pump Range

Piusi manufactures AdBlue transfer equipment across portable, fixed and complete kit configurations. Whether you need a simple DC pump for topping up a single truck or a full IBC dispensing station for a fleet depot, there is a model in this range for the job.

Suzzara Blue Pump - The core of the range. A 34 lpm membrane pump available in 12V DC, 24V DC and 240V AC configurations. Compact, reliable and compatible with all standard AdBlue fittings. This is the pump to start with if you need a standalone unit to build into your own setup.

Portable Pump Kit - A complete mobile AdBlue dispensing kit with pump, hose, nozzle and carry handle. Available in 12V DC and 240V AC. Designed for on-the-go DEF top-ups on service vehicles, farm machinery and fleet trucks.

IBC Pump Kit (Three25) - A full 240V AC dispensing station designed to mount directly onto a 1000L IBC. Includes pump, meter, hose, auto nozzle and IBC adaptor. Plug in and dispense, no additional plumbing required.

Drum Kit - A 240V AC pump kit configured for 205L drum transfer. Includes pump, drum adaptor, hose, meter and nozzle. Ideal for workshops and depots that receive AdBlue in drums rather than IBCs.

Cabinet Pump - A fully enclosed, lockable 240V AC dispensing unit with pump, meter, hose and auto nozzle. Workshop-grade finish for permanent installations where security and presentation matter.

SQUALO35 Submersible Pump - A 240V AC submersible pump designed to sit inside a bulk AdBlue storage tank. 35 lpm flow rate, built for continuous-duty fixed installations.

Suction Hose - EPDM suction hose with IBC connection fitting, purpose-made for AdBlue transfer. Compatible with all Piusi AdBlue pumps.

Mis-Filling Device - A mechanical safety device used with Elaflex ZVA nozzles to prevent accidental filling of diesel tanks with AdBlue (or vice versa). A simple, low-cost safeguard for mixed-fluid depots.

Use Cases

Fleet Compliance and SCR Top-ups - Modern diesel trucks and heavy vehicles with SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) systems require regular AdBlue top-ups to meet emissions standards. A dedicated Piusi AdBlue pump at your depot or on your service vehicle keeps the fleet compliant without delays.

Transport and Logistics Depots - High-volume DEF dispensing for linehaul fleets, bus operators and road train yards. The IBC kit or cabinet pump paired with a flow meter gives accurate tracking of AdBlue usage per vehicle.

Agriculture - Tractors and harvesters with Tier 4 Final engines need AdBlue. A portable 12V kit lets you top up machinery in the paddock without carting drums around.

Mining and Resources - DEF dispensing for haul trucks, loaders and ancillary plant. Fixed installations using the SQUALO35 submersible pump or cabinet unit suit high-throughput mine sites.

Workshops and Service Centres - Mechanics and diesel fitters servicing SCR-equipped vehicles need a clean, reliable AdBlue dispensing point. The drum kit or IBC kit provides this without taking up excessive floor space.

Important: AdBlue Handling

AdBlue is not a fuel. It is a 32.5% aqueous urea solution (AUS32) used in SCR exhaust aftertreatment systems. When handling AdBlue, keep the following in mind:

  • Store AdBlue between -11°C and 30°C. It freezes at -11°C and degrades above 30°C.
  • Keep containers sealed. AdBlue absorbs moisture and contaminants from the air.
  • Never mix AdBlue with diesel, water or any other fluid.
  • Use only dedicated AdBlue-compatible equipment. Even trace contamination from a previously-used diesel pump can damage SCR systems.
  • AdBlue has a shelf life of approximately 12 months when stored correctly.

FAQs - AdBlue Pumps

Can I use a standard diesel pump for AdBlue? No. AdBlue is highly corrosive to standard pump materials including brass, copper and aluminium. Using a diesel pump for AdBlue will destroy the pump and contaminate the fluid, which can damage vehicle SCR systems. Always use a dedicated AdBlue pump with compatible wetted materials.

What voltage AdBlue pump do I need? For mobile applications (ute, service vehicle, farm machinery), a 12V DC pump is the most practical choice. For fixed installations with mains power (workshop, depot, fuel bay), 240V AC is more suitable. 24V DC suits trucks and heavy plant running 24V electrical systems.

What flow rate do Piusi AdBlue pumps deliver? The Suzzara Blue series delivers 34 lpm across all voltage configurations. The SQUALO35 submersible delivers 35 lpm. These flow rates are more than adequate for most DEF top-up applications, where typical fill volumes are 20 to 60 litres.

Can I use these pumps for liquid fertiliser? Piusi AdBlue pumps are designed and rated for AdBlue, DEF and AUS32 urea solutions. Some users have reported success with certain liquid fertilisers, but compatibility depends on the specific chemical composition. Contact our team on 1300 987 789 to discuss your specific fluid before purchasing.

What is the difference between AdBlue and DEF? They are the same product. AdBlue is the European trademark; DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) is the North American term. AUS32 is the ISO standard designation. All refer to a 32.5% aqueous urea solution meeting ISO 22241.

Do AdBlue pumps come with a warranty? Yes. All Piusi products sold through PIUSI Shop come with manufacturer warranty support. Contact our team for warranty terms specific to each model.
