Kolor Kut Water Finding Paste

Kolor Kut® Water Finding Paste is a reliable, colour-changing paste designed to detect the presence and measure the depth of water in storage tanks containing petroleum products and other compatible liquids.

The paste is golden brown in colour and instantly turns brilliant red upon contact with water, providing a clear visual indication of water contamination at the bottom of tanks.

METHOD OF USE:

1. Apply a thin layer of paste to a gauging rod or weighted string.
2. Lower the rod/string to the bottom of the tank.
3. Remove and inspect immediately.
4. The section that has contacted water will change from golden brown to brilliant red.
5. Measure the length of the colour change to determine the depth of water present.

After determining the water level:

1. Pump out the bulk water using a suitable self-priming waste oil/water pump (e.g., drill-powered flexible impeller pump with 1/2” hose).
2. Repeat testing as required.
3. For residual water, use an appropriate absorption medium (e.g., water-absorbing “Water-Soaker” product).
